Jeffery Barrett

U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Jeffery Barrett is the first graduate of Bancroft’s Veteran Training Program. A 20-year reservist and a former Philadelphia public school teacher, Mr. Barrett now serves as a key member of the firm’s municipal team, handling syndicate duties and covering a number of key institutional accounts.

Mr. Barrett first joined Bancroft at the start of 2019 after being medically discharged from the U.S. Army Reserves. Over the course of his reservist duty, Mr. Barrett was mobilized (called to active service) 10 of the 20 years, primarily serving as a drill sergeant and military police officer. Throughout his service, he maintained the difficult balance between his commitment to the Philadelphia Public School System and a rigorous obligation to the U.S. Army.

Upon passing his FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 licenses and completing his rotation through Bancroft’s business units, Mr. Barrett was formally recognized as the first official graduate of the VTP and received a full-time position with the firm’s municipal team at the start of 2020. Since then, he has been instrumental in helping the firm’s largest department continue its growth trajectory. He also remains connected to the VTP, serving as a liaison for each new class of candidates to help them acclimate to the firm itself and the overall financial industry.
