Tian England

Candidate, Veteran Training Program

Staff Sergeant Tian England served nine years on active duty, primarily as a Motor Transport Maintenance Chief. During her time in the Marine Corps, Tian deployed to Afghanistan as a Female Engagement Team Leader, where she led Marines in complex and high-risk operational environments. Her role required building trust within local communities while navigating the realities of combat operations, cultural barriers, and constant uncertainty. The responsibility of leading a team in a deployed setting demanded adaptability, resilience, and decisive leadership under pressure. Like many who serve in combat zones, the experiences and lessons from that deployment did not end upon redeployment—they continue to shape her perspective, leadership style, and commitment.

Though now a veteran, Tian remains closely connected to the values and relationships she built during her time in uniform. She has completed her MBA from American Military University as part of her transition from military service and is motivated to continue challenging herself in a new professional environment. She is excited about opportunities such as the Bancroft Veteran Training Program and looks forward to bringing her leadership experience, discipline, and unique perspective into the finance industry while continuing to learn and make a meaningful impact.
