Posted: January 25, 2023

Bancroft Capital, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) specializing in Institutional Brokerage and Capital Markets services, announced that it has accepted two exceptional disabled military veteran candidates into its Veteran Training Program (VTP) for 2023.

Launched in 2019 and fully funded by Bancroft Capital, the VTP puts disabled veterans and first responders in a position to develop a skill set capable of supporting a new career as Institutional Traders and Investment Bankers. Bancroft aims to offer paid opportunities to new candidates each year. Candidate training includes a rotation among the five business units Bancroft operates and an introduction to back office and operations functions, sales trading, and compliance while participating in the VTP. Through their own hard work and diligence, each candidate can rewrite theirfutures as they develop skill sets that last through not one job, but for the life of a career.

VTP Candidate Sergeant Allante McGant, USA(Ret) of Pittsburgh, PA, is a former United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer. As a U.S. Army Reservist, McGant was deployed to Iraq in 2018 where he and his squad completed several security and construction missions alongside NATO allies. Sergeant McGant was deployed again in 2021 to Kuwait alongside United State Special Operations Command. Allante has been awarded the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Inherent Resolve Campaign Medal, Iraq Camp aign Medal, Army Achievement Medal, and Army Commendation Medal.

“I am both grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to work with the professionals at BancroftCapital, said McGant. “Someone along my journey piqued my interest in finances, and I know the individuals at Bancroft will provide the knowledge and support for me continue on this new career path.”

VTP Candidate Sergeant Ryan Dalessandro of Staten Island, NY, is a former United States Army Non-Commissioned Officer. Dalessandro spent three years in the Marine Corps Reserve Component, before completing his intra-service transfer to follow his desire to become a Green Beret in the U.S. Army. He completed basic training and airborne school and served in the 173rd airborne Brigade and 82nd Airborne Division as a team leader during deployment. He was honorably discharged as a disabled veteran and finished his bachelor’s degree in International Business at the College of Staten Island with a 4.0 GPA while working full-time at UBS as a registered client services associate. He is registered with SIE and holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.

“The opportunity to help others while simultaneously advancing my own career is one that seldomly reveals itself. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity; to work alongside with and learn from the incredible men and women at Bancroft Capital,” Dalessandro said.

To qualify for the VTP, which is funded by Bancroft Capital’s for-profit income, military applicants must meet the following criteria:

Bancroft Capital Founder CEO Cauldon D. Quinn, a service-disabled Navy veteran himself, understands the value of the sacrifices made by members of the military and their families. He remarked that the restoration of military service members into their civilian lives is not only in the best interest of America and its veterans, but also a profitable equation for business. “Our company’s success is due to the confidence shown in us by our clients, and this allows us to carry on our mission of training disabled vets through our VTP. We are deeply grateful,” he said, adding, “Bancroft is proud to play a role in assisting veterans in establishing new careers and restoring them as leaders in their communities and society.”
