Bancroft Capital Adds Alix (AJ) Cethoute II to Municipal Underwriting Team

Posted: May 20, 2025

Bancroft Capital, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), announces the hiring of Alix Cethoute II as Associate of Municipals. Cethoute, who goes by AJ, will be based in Dallas and support the firm’s competitive underwriting desk.

“This is a great opportunity to join a growing firm with a unique, underlying mission,” said Cethoute. “I am excited to continue my career in municipals at Bancroft.”

Cethoute comes to Bancroft from Fidelity, where he spent the last three years on the client service team. He had been with Fidelity in a number of roles, both operational and client-facing, since 2017, and already holds his SIE and Series 7, 9, 10, and 63 licenses from FINRA.

“Adding AJ is critical to ensuring we remain the leading veteran-owned firm in the competitive underwriting market,” said CEO Cal Quinn. “More importantly, AJ is a tremendous individual with a wonderful family, and we know he will continue to thrive at Bancroft.”

Aside from his retail-oriented roles, Cethoute is familiar with the municipal bond market. He had a summer internship in the municipal department at SAMCO during school, where his father, Alix, spent 11 years as an underwriter. The elder Cethoute has been Bancroft’s lead competitive underwriter since the firm entered the space in 2022.

AJ graduated with a BAAS in Business Administration and Organization Supervision from the University of North Texas.
