On June 30, Bancroft Capital was honored to be recognized with the Gwen Moore Diversity Award by the VALOR Veteran Business Resource Group and Southern California Edison. Bill Mingione, Managing Director of Capital Markets, and Dan Morales, SVP Capital Markets, were on hand to accept the award in Irwindale, California.
“Thank you to Southern California Edison and the VALOR Board for this incredible honor,” said Mingione. “We are deeply grateful, incredibly humbled, and excited about what we can accomplish together in the years ahead.”
The Gwen Moore Diversity Award is presented to an individual or company that exemplifies a strong partnership and value with Southern California Edison and positively represents the core business strategy of working with diverse suppliers. The award was established in tribute to the late California State Assemblywoman Gwen Moore, who passed away in August 2020, to honor her legacy and decades of work advancing equity. Most notably, Moore authored California General Order 156, which set up supplier diversity reporting requirements and procurement targets for major companies.

“Receiving an award with Gwen Moore’s name attached to it makes this especially meaningful,” said Mingione. “Gwen Moore helped create opportunities for businesses that may not have always had a seat at the table, and she understood that diversity isn’t simply about checking a box – it’s about strengthening organizations by bringing different experiences, perspectives, and talents together.”
