Fort Washington, PA – Bancroft Capital, a certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), announces today the hiring of Nicole Byrd as Director of Capital Markets and Public Finance. She will also serve as a contributor to the firm’s GEOIntelligence team, providing timely market perspective to global issues.
“I’m honored to join Bancroft Capital and support the capital markets and municipal teams serving clients across Ohio and the surrounding region,” said Byrd. “I’m also excited to contribute to the GEOIntelligence platform, which delivers timely market perspective on global developments. I look forward to applying my experience connecting fixed income markets with geopolitical and economic trends to support Bancroft’s clients and its mission-driven work.”
Byrd will be responsible for serving as the primary banker for both corporations and local governments in Ohio and surrounding states. A long-time municipal credit analyst, she will also provide analytical support to both the existing capital markets and municipal teams.
“Nicole has exceptional analytical capabilities and a proven track record of success at multiple large financial firms like Nationwide and J.P. Morgan,” said CEO Cal Quinn. “We believe her addition in a geographically important area of the country will help us better serve the corporations and governments in Ohio and across the Midwest.”
Byrd recently received a certificate in International Affairs from King’s College London. As part of her role at Bancroft, she will join current advisor Mike Stefanski in providing market commentary on the GEOIntelligence team’s White Papers and Executive Summaries.
“We are excited to add Nicole’s perspective to the best-in-class GEOIntelligence team,” said Quinn. “Her experience at large buy-side firms, combined with her understanding of the implications of geopolitical events, will provide an important viewpoint to our authored pieces.”
A military spouse, Byrd also has a strong affinity for the firm’s veteran mission. Her husband served eight years on active duty and five years in the active reserves with the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marines, and 1st Marine Expeditionary Brigade.
“Bancroft’s commitment to excellence—and its mission to support and empower veterans and first responders—deeply resonates with me,” said Byrd. “After more than two decades in municipal and fixed income research, I’m energized by the opportunity to contribute to a firm whose values align so strongly with service, integrity, and impact.”
Byrd received a B.A. in Business Economics from Mills College and her M.B.A from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
